My work is to guide you back to your intrinsic strength and help you access an abundant and gratifying life.
My approach
My approach is rooted in fostering an egalitarian healing relationship with all of my clients so that you feel empowered to create community outside of the therapy room by engaging in healthy relationships with others. I believe that by increasing love, intimacy, and self worth, we become more fortified in our ability to navigate emotional distress. My approach embodies the idea that one's relationship with one’s self of having love and kindness is how we become happier and more steady. It also allows us to have more meaningful and fulfilling relationships. I integrate body-based interventions, EMDR, process oriented talk therapy and mindfulness. Humor, play, movement, imagination, creativity, art, story-telling, are also woven into the work. Deep within us, we all have positive self regard that sometimes gets buried underneath shame and self doubt. My work is to guide you back to a place of self love and acceptance. I believe this is the foundation on which we build an abundant and gratifying life.

Biography
My name is Sujin Jeon but you can call me Suzie. I am a first generation Korean-American cis-gendered woman. I earned my bachelor's degrees in Music Therapy and Psychology from Arizona State University, Barretts Honors college and went on to receive a Master's in Social Welfare at UCLA. I have empathy for those of us who are struggling and an appreciation for how self compassion and inter-dependence can be a powerful part of healing. I am interested in meaning-making and a big believer that healing from trauma is possible and can bring us back to a space of having big fun, spontaneity, and peace.
